On the other hand, I come from a family of teachers... so a small extra credit moment someplace in the evening when you know you can bag a few.  Do it with some inexpensive radios too -that way the students can see how it is done in the field, and maybe have a raffle and give away a couple radios.

I scared my Russian class when  I played some numbers transmissions during Gulf War 1.

They were pretty non-plused about the espionage topic, until I said I had recorded what they were hearing the previous night!
