"I do have a theory on what this is…but I’ll first wait to hear all of your
comments…"

I would suggest...

Go to WalMart and buy all their cheap foreign made noise makers that produce
electronic noises, sounds, words, music, etc. Grab a few of the different
keychain toy voice recorders and voice changers as well. Then hit the
thrift shops and grab similar electronic junk. Record the same sound into
each one and play it back and analyze it. You will find few than reproduce
the same sound the same way, some different each time, many with such
horrible background noise in the electronics as to not recognize what was
put into them, others with pre-recorded messages in "English" done so poorly
as to unidentifiable all which degrade considerably over time as the
batteries die. Compare those on Spectrogram and see what you get.

Aside from the mode "DSB", the YS game is no different than the BS that went
on for years on CB channel 3 in the Los Angeles basin from 1990 - 1994, also
often times for days up to a week or longer at powers ranging onto the KW's.
Sickeningly I knew many of them and observed their equipment and techniques,
base and mobile, multiple radios, power dividers, amplifiers, frequency
controlled by the new Basic Stamp that just came out, just toggling a few
switches already on the backs of their modified CBs... Just of bunch of
guys messing around from 25 to 32+ MHz. The FCC never got involved, by '95
everyone got bored and went away. It was a bloody free for all, for those
in the area, Jack Gerritson and any activity on 147.435 MHz is like watching
the Mickey Mouse show by comparison to CB Channel 3 at the time.

That is why I think it is some shmuck with a handfull of toys, shmucks
across the nation with a handfulls of toys do it every day on 11m. Nothing
new, nothing special, nothing different, just a different mode on a
different frequency. A slightly different radio with the same techniques =
same BS as before. What's old is new again. Operate on the same frequency
as someone else? They "stepped" on broadcast links, pager systems, alarm
company frequencies, Civil Defense, Search And Rescue, 10m HAM band, law
enforcement, wireless microphones in Churches, the list goes on.

That's my opinion, why I have it and why I'm sticking to it...

If I'm proven wrong, well how about that? I learn something new every day!

Kurt
