Did anyone else happen to see the commercial on Monday Night Football
here in the US tonight? It was a rip on a pirate TV broadcast, but
fascinating. It showed just before MNF started, and once again
sometime around the third quarter or so.
static, fade to:
A guy sitting on a couch in a generic empty room with a whiteboard
behind him, a drawing of "[an eye] = I" on a piece of paper stuck to
it. He said something like:
"I don't know if anyone is listening. The secret to this game is: spaces
and punctuation count. Ignore the first episode. Then it's the 5th,
1st, 9th, 1st, 5th, 7th, 4th, 1st, 2nd, 7th, 5th, 2nd, in that order.
Now I'm going to have to disappear for a while. Remember, we are all
being manipulated. Keep up the fight. Good luck."
fade back to static
I couldn't write everything down, but that's extremely close, and
the numbers are definitely correct.
It's obviously a commercial for something, but no product/brand was
mentioned, there were no tiny little "copyright" notices on the screen,
the only thing close to any kind of visual clue is that "[eye] = I"
thing. I'VE never seen anything like that before, but it's possible
I've missed it and it's old news by now.
Has anyone else seen this commercial and/or have any idea what it's
about?
Whoever produced it, they did a good job because I'm certainly
interested, whatever it's for. And I wonder if they read spooks. :)
