In a perfect universe the headers could be trimmed, to, say:

Subject:
Date:
with list info pointed to at the footer. My e-mailer
is so lazy it doesn't hide the arm-waving X-s and List-s.
ISTM. YMMV. TIA.
Look at what the full bore unhidden headers stack up to
(and energy fuels have to be squandered to transmit):
