[SOC] Is it designed to do this ?

Technovorm Drip coffee maker. Hand crafted in the Netherlands. It is the best $300 I have ever spent. 

I bought this in around 2012 and still going strong. It gets used a minimum of twice a day and sometimes, three times/day. 

It also makes coffee at the right temp, not that lukewarm shite some coffee pots are known for.
