[SOC] Why SOC?

i have started one of those 120 sheet 3 subject college ruled notebooks ( or A 3 sujets lignes moyennes if you not  american)  you get from costco, entitled "W7DRA OCT 2017 LOG"  if i could ever find my SOC registration number i could write it in the log book, and then i would have to go through all 120 pages to find it if i ever wanted to
