MCW (Modulated Continuous Wave Modulation)  is a perfect SOC term because it uses "modulation" so perfectly.  Just think, we could say things like "modulated by modulated continuous wave modulation"  whenever we like.

The next time I check the frequency for occupancy a couple of times ("QRL?  QRL?") and get no reply, then call CQ only to be called an ".- ... ..." by some FOC operator for using his personal frequency I'm going to ask if he would mind if I call CQ again a few times using a rig "modulated by modulated continuous wave modulation" and repeat the question just to make sure it is fully understood.
