[SOC] Tooo Many Contest

I think "contests" should be restricted to a portion of each band for
"non contest" activity. There are far too many long contests that are
"minor" contests but jam the entire band during the weekends. Why not
restrict them to no more than half the General/Advanced/Extra segments?

This could be monitored by ARRL "OO" appointees to send citations to the
"Offenders" and forward them to the organization who does the scoring
and disqualify the contestants who operate where they shouldn't.

Does anyone else have an idea? I'm not trying to "kill" the operation
of the contesters, but is it fair for them to dominate the bands every
weekend with a lot of QRM that non-contesters are getting less and less
places to go except for the "WARC" bands?

The FCC seems to be unable to control "QRMers" now so this will have to
be something that is generated by volunteers to help control the
"madhouse" for non- contesters in general.

Most of the QRP organizations use suggest a small segment for their
activities. This would be another way around the problem, but QRP
contests usually are shorter than the ones that last the entire
weekend. The "rag chewers" need some relief.
