[SOC] ARE YOU KIDDING ME !

It was a Flying Pigs QRP contest on 160m's. No wonder. I just trashed my log
sheets cuz am only a member of the Swooping Ducks QRP-Peepers club. Crap. I
heard a little quacking going on but no peepers. In truth, I was wrestling
small coax cables like so many rattlesnakes trying to find out why rig
wouldn't' tune up. After a massive two hour struggle finally found the
culprit as the coax switch, one of them "two holers'' ( one common and two
option of so239'ers) Almost tore the balun off the outside of the house in
the snow and cold and dark, but didn't make it that far. But problem solved
but no activity out, cuz had to take a lot of snake bite medicine after the
struggle. 

  Incidently, the common of the coax switch, the contact peg inside was
loose and swiveled like a kids top, and if that ain't enough to drive you
nuts, try it sometime. 

  Good luck John and hope you take first place. Don't you love contests
though? ha ha ha. ( Who ever heard of a flying pig? -- Were they sober when
they thought up that name for a club? -- I guess anything can happen when
SKCC turns into a speed contest with jet-blasting afterburner keys. Oh the
changing times. Ain't it great. Gives us older poopers something to talk
about.)
