Oh d*mn!
I hope the new certificate design's not too modern and good looking.
It'll take ages to get it to the dusty, well fingered marked and cruddy looking state of the rest of my shack, all of which has helped keep the XYL Lyn (M6IPZ) away from my equipment for so long.
OK she's a ham too but there are limits to marital sociability!
And all this so close to Christmas too!
Sheesh,

Dale (Slim) Haines G4IPZ

  Good morning, everyone:

The long awaited, long anticipated Certificates are going out today. Many apologies for the lengthy delay....the delay is certainly worthy of Second Class status (hi hi). The good news is that this batch is the FIRST batch of the new design! We have updated the logo with an iambic, which was refurbed by Gregg Mulder (WB8LZG-newly minted SOC #933), and sports custom made paddles (also handcrafted by Gregg). He has done work for several Hams, both locally and abroad, and is doing some work for Vibroplex, too! I just sent my Vibroplex iambic to him for refurbishing and new paddles and can't wait to see the finished product. Photos to follow! Take a look at his website http://www.egr.msu.edu/~mulderg/

Now, the Certificates are going out in today's mail to the following:

  John K5ZU
  Arnold K0ZK
  Dale G4IPZ
  Nancy K9FH
  John F5VHC
  Michael AC6E
  Scott KG9Z

If I haven't listed you here, and you DID order a Certificate, please let me know. I've never had an issue with the integrity of the SOC'ers and trust them.

Finally, we are offering a Christmas 2010 edition of the Certificate, so if you don't have one and want to order one, now is your time. They will be printed on Christmas afternoon, or evening and sent out right afterwards. I hate to say it, but I have already received some compliments on the look of the new Certificates. Might have to go back to printing them on paper bags so I don't jeopardize my SOC status. Oh and if you want to see what they look like, a sample is posted on the SOC website.

  Merry Christmas to all!
