I can't contain myself!

The elimination of the Morse requirement was stupid and "Politically 
Correct"!  The FCC gave in to the whining crybabies who said it was 
"impossible" for them to learn!  They did the same thing when whining 
broadcast station owners pressured them to eliminate the First Class 
Radiotelephone license and subsequently "deregulated" Radio and TV 
broadcasting standards!  Just tune around and note the total lack of "VU" 
levels from the different stations!  Also the lack of "news" on the news 
broadcasts giving up time to endless commercials.  No wonder!  The FCC isn't 
run by engineers anymore, but is commanded by lawyers and "bean counters" 
who know really nothing about telecommunications!

No one had to struggle to learn Morse any more than I did both as a 
schoolboy and an adult.  In spite of this, I managed to earn  (when the FCC 
gave the tests!) a Second Class Radiotelephone, Second Class Ship 
Radiotelegraph and Amateur Extra licenses.  Two of the three virtually 
"eliminated" now and the last "degraded".  Don't tell me these whining 
babies CAN'T learn AT LEAST 5 words per minute of Morse!!!  BULLS**T!

I won't be surprised one day if you don't get a concise FCC application form 
with your new radio.  Send this in with a proof of purchase bar code and 
they will issue you a general license!

Future amateurs will eventually curse us "old timers" for allowing the FCC 
to eliminate one of the most simplistic and unique forms of communication 
yet devised:  Telegraphic Morse Code!
