[SOC] Need suggestions on a Sound Card

Thanks Steve --  I appreciate your feedback.  I didn't realize that the 
built-in sound on the MB's was sufficient enough for our purposes...I guess 
if it's "free" (well, already paid for) that's the way to go...once I figure 
out if I really want to try a  SDR then I can buy a soundcard for that rig 
and the manufacturer will probably recommend the specs as you related.
