The on-board audio on most motherboards will usually suffice for most psk31
type applications however for SDR you need to do some research. The
FlexRadio 5000 has it's own sound card built in to the radio. The older 1000
model requires a fairly robust sound card and Flex specifies which one to
get. Check the SDR radio's web site before getting into this. Other than
SDR, you won't notice much difference between sound cards.
Oh...You could consider the Tigertronics Signalink USB which is basically an
external USB sound card but has cables specific to each rig.
