You can actually send an 8?  I normally just send "E I G H T" and hope I  
get that right!

I have trouble remembering any CW characters.  Most especially so while I  
am NCS of a CW net!

P.S. Duct tape is better for detuning one's antennas.  You can also rig it  
into a climbing harness.
