Qualifying statement: In my opinion........

I would go for a Small Wonder Labs SW+ series instead of the MFJ.

I received a flyer from the ARRL where they are offering a flat rate on
shipping if you buy more than one item.

I'll probably order the 2008 handbook (they are also giving the software
disc for free if you order soon---of course I recently paid $20 for that--oh
well).

I'll probably also order the "Low Power Communications" book for $20. They
are offering a special on that also...For $99.00 you can get a MFJ 40 Cub
transceiver kit AND the book (The Cub goes for $99.00 + s/h from MFJ).

So my question is, do you think the Cub kit is worth $79.00? (as I'll
already be plunking down $20.00 for the book), so for $79.00 more I'll get
both.

Like many others I've had mixed results with the quality of MFJ stuff, so I
guess that should be factored in, too.

Thanks
