[SOC] Antenna feedline

Hi all,

I'm thinking about putting up a 40 meter dipole between a couple of trees
and would like to know the current thinking on whether to use coax (RG-8, I
guess) or 450 ohm 'window' line to feed it.

I'm using a barefoot Elecraft K2 with an auto tuner. This will be my only
antenna (at least for now) and I operate on 40 meters about 75 percent of
the time (CW). The rest of the time I'm on 20 meters psk31 as well as cw on
15 and ten meters, when they're open. So for those times that I'm not on
forty I'll use the tuner.

I've read that the 'window' line is less lossy and a qrp levels I guess
that's important.

Thanks in advance for any comments you may provide.
