Tom there is tons of ham stuff and non ham stuff out here for Palm OS kit.
I've been running Palms for a few years now and I am considering the 
Treo 650. It's a very nice machine indeed.
Currently I use a Tungsten T5. I'm toying with the idea of buying a 
Lifedrive or a Treo.... I could do with a new phone and the Treo would 
do both :)

As for software, have a google.

I've just joined so have no idea what it's like, but with 600 members it 
should be of some use to you.
The files section has quite a few am related files in there.
