How SOC of you Jan. Amazing the reports I've been receiving from the northern
hemisphere on various lists. From freezing conditions, 1.5 foot of snow,
promised blizzards tomorrow. Bill's more temperate conditions and others...

Amazingly, no white Christmas here in buffalo NY, USA, either (we're well known
for our blizzards here). It seems the years alternate. Sometimes it's 70F,
then the next years it's sub 0 with 4 feet of snow and falling. This years
lookin to be not a scorcher, so to speak, but it's 45F and raining now. I
suppose it's only fair, last year we didn't even get any snow until christmas
morning itself, at which point somewhere in the night about 2 feet of snow and
ice fell...it looked absolutely beautiful in the morning sun.

What a funny world we live in.

Best wishes mon fils and vos mere, you know who you are.
