Okay,

Here is one that puzzles me....

Here in the UK we have the Royal Mail.

Across the pond is the United States Postal Service.

However, I get my post from the Postman every morning, delivered through the
letter box.

But, when I lived across the pond, the Mailman delivered the mail into my
mailbox.

How did that all come about?
