Sorry Ian,
I just can't buy into your idea of collective guilt. I have worked, payed
my taxes and helped my wife to raise our daughters to be good human
beings and civilized members of our society. That was my obligation
as an adult that decided to marry (47 yrs) and have children.
If every body did the same, we would not have any societal problems,
but I am not responsible for other peoples children. I can reach out
and help but I can not nor will not carry them. My primary interest is
to provide and protect me and mine. Again I ask you, show me where
it has ever been any different in the global history of mankind ??
The longest period of European peace was when the Soviet Union and
the United States faced each other off during the cold war that
started in 1947. No recorded religion or political ideology has EVER
changed
man's basic nature and I will argue that some have encouraged or
excused his worst urges.
So keep your chin up mate, If it looks that bad to you then the only
way it can go is up.
Regards,
Carlos
