Hey Paul,

I know just the sound you are talking about, there's no mistaking it. Many a
time here in Los Angeles I've run outside just to catch a glimpse of a WWII
era aircraft. The YL thinks I'm nuts when I do that ;-)

There are a few WWII aircraft in the area, but most recently I've been
looking out for an ME-109 that someone has at the Santa Monica airport. Saw
it fly over a couple of times. He might be here doing a movie or some
special event. We get quite a bit of that here. Used to see a lot more in
Burbank though...
