[SOC] sweeties/candy

Hi Guys,

This is a bit of silly anecdote and completely off topic but I thought it
might amuse...

I'm half Danish (mother's side).

There's a particular Danish confection (salt liquorice) that I occasionally
get a craving for. Middle daughter Lauren does too. The strongest stuff
contains an ammonium salt and blows your head off!

You either love the stuff or hate it. An ex-colleague once said that he'd
rather drink formaldehyde!

Anyway, in desperation I telephoned the Danish embassy in London. They were
incredibly helpful, understanding of my cravings (suffering themselves) and
provided three UK sources for the stuff.
