Well Chris and this is not directly personal experience. About ten years ago my
older brother went in for tests relating to a stomach ulcer and cutting a long
story short finished up with a reconstructed aorta, full bypass, the whole box
and dice.

I saw him after 12 hours of surgery and was shocked at how well he looked when
he recovered a few hours later.

He looked about 15 years younger. Bright eyes etc., it was truly amazing.

He left hospital and the idiot purchased a carton of cigarettes on the way
home. He's still with us though.

I know quite a few folks who've had this surgery and none have looked back.
Today I believe it is so simple and vastly improved from my brothers day, so
advanced it's simply now regarded as routine.

Of course given the "wake up call", I assume you will take good care of
yourself.
