News Flash!

The Bush Administration's hunt for WMDs and terrorists has been stepped up.
The intensification of the search began on the West Coast, where US agents
have started to smoke out domestic terrorists in the hills of Southern
California. Resistance has been fierce and firefights between government
agents and the terrorists spread rapidly. "We'll leave no stone unturned in
our search for the enemy," said one official, who spoke on condition of
anonymity. Evidence of his statement is apparent as armies of bulldozers
began attacks on the hills around Malibu. In a rare press conference,
President Bush said "We'll uproot every one of the terrorists. There won't
be a single one left alive when we get done with them!"

Actually, the CA fires are part of Bush's plan for the prevention of future
forest fires. After all, he realizes that the major cause of forest fires
is trees.

Are you suggesting that the White House actually has a "plan" and this isn't
a media leak?

Obviously the print version of our newspaper carries a much, much larger
photograph but, most of us here are confused by burned out houses amid
untouched eucalypts. Strange...

Our thoughts are very much with everyone affected. We know what it's like.

I read the Subject Line, and thought the president might have forcefully
removed someone from the National Park Service, or perhaps the Department of
the Interior. Especially if it becomes a "terrorist act" as nearly
everything on the evening news now appears to be on a daily basis. So much
for "old growth forests" Ashcroft has a few more terrorists to hunt down,
and in these cases they are arsonists in southern California. Maybe the
newly elected Terminator (Governor) will prevent this damper on the state's
already bad economy. Of course with 87 billion dollars headed for Iraqi oil
fields and defending troops put in "harm's way" looking to topple Saddam
Hussein, and locate UMD, he will be second in line at the United States
Treasury. Like everyone says on Field Day -- Good Luck (in the contest).
