[SOC] Concorde

Hi All,

Today is a proud day for me tinged with sadness.

Concorde's last commercial flight touched down at Heathrow around four
o'clock this afternoon.

This aircraft was conceived at about the same time that I was. It came to
maturity as I entered university and in terms of time, we've shared a
working career to date.

I am lucky to work on an industrial estate (park) about two miles from
Filton aerodrome where the British Concordes were built. Sometime next
month, one of the aircraft built here will come home permanently.

I shall be on the perimeter track along with, I suspect, many thousands of
others.
