[SOC] POV on California

I am wondering if this election affords the rest of the U.S. an opportunity
to view some wacky politics from a similar point of view as the much of the
wrold views U.S. national politics?

By this I mean: We can view it with interest and enjoy the spectacle of it
all as it doesn't directly effect us in any great way. It does however have
somewhat of an effect since it's a major part of a larger economy.
