It's *SO* much less embarrassing than an inarticulate professional.  ;-)

Seriously though, don't believe for a moment that all Americans do not take
politics seriously. Yes the voter turn-out is often times dismal. But there
are many of us (on both sides of the aisle/issues) that take it quite
seriously.
