Have at ye, Varlet!

I endured a public (that's private - just to confuse the Yank) school
education in the South of our fair land. My old winger chums Jeremy, Rupert
and Nigel would be incensed at your comments above. You'd most likely get a
hand-bagging!
Things never did really recover after the music master was arrested for
gross indecency in public toilets in Croydon...
Ho-hum...
Paul ;-)
p.s. My experience of playing rugby at school involved the group being split
into First XV, Second XV and 'the remnants'. Guess where they put
Bartlett...? My only saving graces were an ability to kick straight and run
fast - the latter skill put to good use avoiding being flattened by the
nasty ruffians at the front of the opposing team...
The high point of my sporting career was when I was about 16 and they
allowed me to ditch rugby in favour of small-bore rifle shooting.
Now let me see...I have a choice. I can spend a couple of hours running
about in the cold and wet with a bunch of thugs doing my best to avoid being
marmelised or I can lie down for twenty minutes in a nice warm indoor range
with a rifle and twenty rounds, blast away at a piece of paper and then go
home.
No contest.
P :-)
