Loved that to death mate, especially the last bit.

Guess wot?

In OZ, the "game" is ONLY played in private [la-de-dah] schools here, hence the
reason all politicians, captains of industry, general hangers on, and other
social parasites have gone so ballistic over the world cup. Everyone of
influence once played the game, hence vast resources devoted to this
competition.

Meanwhile, among the great unwashed masses in the suburbs.... Rugby League
Rulz.

You'd still have to barrack for England though.

Then again, using Australian like comments such as "poofy game", "gee - milking
for penalties gets you three kicking points here - wow" and the like, could
draw some unwelcome attention to yourself.

Your local northern accent [if you have one] might also prove a big factor
among the Jeremy's, Rupert's or Nigel's.

Getting harder all the time now. Went to my old Club in Sydney last week and
the cops were parked outside the front gate.

I don't drive in Sydney anymore, I go by train and get chauffeured around by
the kids.
