I'd be very concerned to "help" anyone.  It's possile to wind up with
knowledge and facility as bad as mine, you know.  Leave out the word
"proper" when you think of me and the speaking of any languages, except
perhaps English and Profane.

Your description of the Owl behind the breakfast Cake reminds me of the old
story about the fellow who wanted to impress his date, so at a French
restaurant, he looked to the waiter and spewed forth a streak of French,
sounding just like a native.  The waiter replied, "Sir, now that you have
told me to wax my mustache and imformed me that the white horse has been
killed by lightning, what would you like to eat?"
