Brethren,
Yes, and I must admit that I was, perhaps more guilty than most. I have
NOTHING against the French people, only that they seem to be given a very
poor choice of leaders every election. (sounds familiar??).
I visit France often, (cheap cigarettes and wine) and the normal French
people that I have met have been just fine (one of my neighbours is Laurent:
a French chef, he is absolutely charming, and his wife is pretty tasty too
:-)
Don't forget that most French people only voted for Jacques Chirac only to
keep the even-more-disgusting neo-nazi Jean-Marie lePen out of office. This
was a noble act, of which we will hear more later.
Dont forget that the French were instrumental in creating the great,
independent nation that you are, faced with an incompetent British
government.
Don't forget where the statue of liberty came from.

It is time to build bridges.
Time to heal wounds.
Time to move forwards, together.

   My impression, from talking to Claude, is that, as
a result of a number of virulent, mean-spirited and
jingoistic (my words) posts against France and the
French over a period of time, he had had enough, and
