[SOC] an apology ot US members

I find watching News World International (mainly CBC broadcasts) on
DirecTV is often a refreshing change from CNN and the other US
networks.  I don't feel that our Canadian friends have any more reason
to apologize than did the Swiss during previous conflicts.
