[SOC] On a Lighter Note

Setting aside jaded nations, there is a far, far more interesting battle
elsewhere.

The performance of both Canada and Holland in the Cricket World Cup has been
totally astounding.

This contest is genuinely "international" because it encompasses so many
different countries/nations.

Holland and Canada have both proven to be very big crowd favourites in my
locality [QTH] because they are the 'underdogs' against the "Australian
Machine".

They have let no one down. I personally think they are awesome, both competing
against the best and giving a more than a credible performance is totally
unbelievable, I believe that out of all the gazillion dollars
raised/earned/made out of this competition a large slice *must* be returned to
improve the performance of younger Canadian and Dutch players for the future..

Maybe one day the Yanks will seriously join us?
