Quite sensible too.

I have Maltese friends who go both ways. They also own houses in Malta [I
shoulda bought one when I had the chance]. Some migrate back to Malta to avoid
Australian summers while others do the opposite and avoid Australian winters.
I'd be the latter.

Visited Malta in August, 1990 and nearly knew half the resident population.
Australia has more Maltese than Malta.

Lovely folks if somewhat strange. Many own "seaside villas" just for the
summer. About the size of a car garage, built under the road running around the
perimeter of Malta and often only 100 metres or so from their regular homes.
Like I said, strange.
