The nation's Capital and they're in deep....

Haven't heard this mornings reports as there isn't much coverage on a Sunday
morning at this time of year and I missed the last two on the hour reports.

As of last night there were 200+ homes destroyed with predicted unfavourable
wind shifts.

Worse than Sydney experienced before Xmas although we've got that back again.
Yesterday Sydney's west experienced record 45C temperatures and strong winds.

I witnessed my beloved green lawn brown off in a matter of hours and I live
near the seaside. Bugger. Cooler today and cloudy.

The folks in Canberra must be in dire peril.

I just tuned into ABC - NewsRadio 9:30 a.m.

Just giving out cancellation of events, notices of power failures, emergency
insurance claims....

UPDATE:

388 homes destroyed yesterday. Worse expected...
