Drunk birds are crashing against the windows of a Swedish university [

STOCKHOLM (AP) -- birds arrested in obvious offence of driving while drunk.
For a few days, thousands of sparrows, looking drunk, have come to be crushed 
against the windows of the Swedish university of Karlstad, located 225km west 
of Stockholm. 
It has not been too hard to find the reason of this intoxication : the trees 
close to the campus abound in quite ripe bays, and the gossips - sparrows of 
the size of one starling-trapped by their greediness misused these fermented 
fruits. 
"around fifty of drunk birds already lost their life while being crushed on the 
large windows of the university", deplored the spokesman of the university, 
Hans Jensen. "But the worst is now awat, the bays start to become exhausted." 
On the other hand, the university specifies that no window was broken...
