Maybe Saturday Night Live should revive the old Phil Hartman skits--"The
Anal-Retentive Stock Car Driver".


I remember when "stock car" meant stock, like a production version you
could pick up at the local dealer.  Of course in my teenage years a
really hopped-up engine could put out 1 HP per cubic inch of
displacement (which is less than a lot of production cars these days).
