Well, Mac...
I guess I am just your basic popcorn chewer...
when I go to the movies, I just want to sit there and be entertained... Star
Wars did that for me...
As I have not read every word written by C.S. Lewis it is possible that I am
mistaken in my asessment of his work....I know very, very sharp people that
just love him to pieces...
I can only state that having bought his novel "That Hideous Strength" in
1970 or so, and have to this day not been able to finish it, I can only say
that his writing may have served him well, but not me...
Same deal for JRR Tolkien ?? a boxed set of The Lord of the Rings has sat
gathering dust on the shelf since I received it as a gift in 1980..... again
impossible for me to finish...
On the other hand, Alexander Solzhenitsyn is brilliant, but so is Stephen
Hunter, Robert Heinlein, Stephan King, Larry Niven, Annie Proulx etc.....
best.....
Dennis

I enjoy the work of C.S. Lewis including much of his theology.

MOST people at least gain insight into the human heart. Still others,
including very smart and insightful people, get bored. The tension between
"good" and "evil" certainly piques my interest, especially now. Uh oh, time
for an obscure quote:
>
> "If only it were so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere,
insideously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate
them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and
evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to
destroy a piece of his own heart?" - Alexander Solzhenitsyn
