Sigh, despite our recent identical path through Djibouti, Dennis and I finally think differently, but then, I guess I'm a severely boring guy also. I enjoy the work of C.S. Lewis including much of his theology.
Some people read Tolkin and Lewis without ANY theological insights, but MOST people at least gain insight into the human heart. Still others, including very smart and insightful people, get bored. The tension between "good" and "evil" certainly piques my interest, especially now. Uh oh, time for an obscure quote:
"If only it were so simple! If only there were evil people somewhere, insideously committing evil deeds, and it were necessary only to separate them from the rest of us and destroy them. But the line dividing good and evil cuts through the heart of every human being. And who is willing to destroy a piece of his own heart?" - Alexander Solzhenitsyn
