LOL! Here in Cajun land, it's known as Mercy Buckets, too!

Very understandable, Lloyd; however, Rob asked everyone
here what the thought about the layout of his web page, and
Ian had the courage/balls to tell his friend exactly what he
thought. I see this as being honest with his friend, and he didn't
mean it as a flame or attack. Rob asked, and Ian told him what
he thought, giving an honest opinion. It's as simple as that, IMHO,
and I didn't try to read anything into it, although I can understand
how others could easily do this, especially if they don't know
both parties all that well.
Honestly, the only reason why I flamed was that nobody
really asked for grammatical lessons, and lessons in grammar
usually wind up turning into MASSIVE flame wars. Witness
John's remark about QRP-L. Unfortunately, grammatical wars
show up about every year or so, and, in the long run, they usually
leave a lot of people with bad tastes in their mouths and friends
suddenly become enemies. All around, they're really not worth
the time nor trouble.
72/73!

Okay. Now on to answering Claude's questions on English
grammar! :^). BTW, I'm not getting upset with you teaching
the French language and grammar, Claude! Others -- including
yours truly! -- ASKED you if you be kind enough to do this,
my friend! OTOH, we didn't ask for English grammar lessons,
especially when they come out of left field and an opinion wasn't
requested! :^)
