I think that a lot of the web "designers" are trying to be creative
when they chose various background colors. They don't want their
sites to look the rest of the sites on the net, and they want to design
their sites and make them "reflect their own style and personality,"
if you will. Personally, I'm into good, logical information that's in
a format that is easy to read. If pictures are going to be displayed, I'd
rather see a thumbnail link to the picture, especially if it's over a
certain size. In other words, I'm into pragmatic and functionally
rather than fancy. "Fancy" usually means that the pages take forever
and a day to load.

IMHO, there are so many ham sites on the net that hams are trying to
make their sites look a bit different. IMHO, if they want to do this,
then the authors of the various sites should offer good information/projects
that aren't seen elsewhere. I'll step out on a limb here and bet that the fancier
the site is, the more likely that it contains little (if any) useful information.
This is a stereotypical remark, of course. "Harry's Homebrew Pages" would
shoot this argument totally out of the water, but sites like his are far and few
between.

Okay.

Alright. I'll give it a shot, but tropical storm Isidore is in my back yard
at the moment. Is it ok if I sit out on the back porch and watch the birds
try to fly and the wind kick stuff around while eatting a bit of Cajun food?
:^) :^)

Ok, Ian, but how the heck am I going to be able to ask you
to pass the salt? Since you're in Oz, I'll let you slide, do it for
you, and ask ya' to send me an e-mail that reads: "Here's the
salt, Randall." :^)
