The thing is, Ian, if you are forced to select a background, and you want
the appearance of no background, it would have to be -- "plain vanilla
white."  Right ?

Perhaps because the ones we view most often are the ones built others in our
specific fraternity.  I've seen sites built by my recently college-graduated
daughter, and others in that age bracket.  They are more knowlegeable in
HTML, and don't require the web design packages.  These kids can easily go
beyond the limitations imposed by these packages, and they do some great
work.

seems to be like another programming language, whereby you assign specific
properties to specific locations on the screen.  I just have not had the
time to tackle it, but that's another story.........
