No dice on that one.  FCC does not want "trafficking" of callsigns, so that
one is specifically prohibited.

Nope.  The previous holder was a particular person.  The fact that he is a
club trustee has nothing to do with it.

The only way to "get around" the two-year waiting period is the "in
memoriam" case, where a club member's callsign can be applied for once that
member becomes a "SK."  There's no other way to do it -- either wait out the
2 years for the N0, or apply for something else.  A W or K# SOC would be
good.
