BERLIN (Reuters) - the photographer Helmut Newton, famous for his stereotypes 
of naked women, ensures to have met too many stupid models during his career. 
Often discussed for his representations of fetishism, sexual violence or 
sadomasochism, the 82 years old Master entrusted to the German magazine Stern 
that to work with pretty women had often been painful and tedious. "Either they 
are so dumb that they remain sitted in silence with an empty glance, or their 
chattering weighs me on the nerves because they do not stop chattering", 
explains the Australian photographer. The family of Newton had fled the Nazi 
Germany in 1938 and he later came back in Berlin. "And then, there are those 
who think they have to speak of significant themas. They are the worst of all" 
adds he. Newton was often critized by the feminists who condemn his 
representations of the bound woman, muzzled or with irons on foot. For his 
partisans, these photographs are pieces of art of the erotism. In his interview 
with Stern, Newton refutes the term: "I hate all this sweet talk in connection 
with erotism. Let us speak about sex. Then, I know what that is all about".
