And well France should be champions!
>>

Well, during the round against Thailand, one of the comments made was : "if
France lost this tournament, and according to the fact that French official
players are about 30% of the WW ones, it would be the same as for example USA
not being anymore the WW basket-ball champions"
FWIW ... !

"The umpire or the jury may, at any time, check the boules of any player."
(Try checking my boules and your ptanque career will end prematurely.)
>>

Well, now let's see something ... Official rules say : balls should be of metal,
from 7,05 to 8 cm of diameter (2.75 to 3.15 inches), weight from 650 to 800 gr
(22.92 to 28.21 oz). Main goal is to launch your balls the closest to the "goal"
(called "cochonnet"), a small wooden ball, diameter 25 to 35 mm (0.98 to 1.37
inches) which has be previously thrown away at 6 to 10 m (19.7 to 32.8 ft). This
is a summary of the Petanque rules, a game mainly played in the Southern part of
France (Provence mainly).
There is also the "Boules lyonnaises", "boules parisiennes" and other
variations.

So Bill, I will not pretend to check your boules but I _hope_ yours do not
qualify for a petanque tournament ;o)

72!
