And well France should be champions!

Americans probably don't know jack about p�tanque, but sure sounds like
bocce by another name.   However some of the rules do seem reasonable:

"If the wind or slope of the ground etc. moves a stationary boule, it is put
back in its place."
(Restoring your boule's position after the tornado leaves does sound fair.)

"A player who has lost a lower limb need place only one foot inside the
circle."
(Entirely reasonable if applied to either the lost or unlost foot, but not
both.)

Some rules sound downright dangerous:

"The umpire or the jury may, at any time, check the boules of any player."
(Try checking my boules and your  p�tanque career will end prematurely.)
