Probably come as a *HUGE* shock to you all but there is no such thing as an
anti-Brit joke in OZ. It simply doesn't exist.

You can get lots of "An Australian, A Pommy and an Irishman" type jokes but I
can never recollect ever hearing an anti-Brit joke.

As for anti-Limey, that's very offensive term to most Australians of my
generation and background. When I first saw it here the hair stood up on the
back of my neck. I can call you a bastard, even a pommy bastard, perhaps if
moved to it, a "real" pommy bastard but never Limey. Fast way to start a
serious blood on the sawdust fight.

As Mr. Ripley said, "Believe it or not", then again we've previously been
described as a "weird mob".

We might belt the s*** out of you in cricket and other sports but we respect
our antecedents, at least I do. Also too much pain and suffering together in
too many stupid wars.
