A night of horror in the Brazilian rain [2002-11-25 15:01]

RIO DE JANEIRO (Reuters) - The inhabitants of a house of the suburb of Rio de 
Janeiro spent an infernal night this weekend when human rests, fragments of 
coffins and crosses transported from the nearby cemetery by torrent rains 
crossed the wall of their kitchen.

" It arrived during the rain, on Saturday evening. A part of the wall of the 
cemetery collapsed and the earth mixed with human rests, coffins and fragments 
of gravestones invaded the house, situated at the feet of the hill ", explained 
a responsible for the cemetery, under the cover of anonymity.

The inhabitants had to face this situation the whole weekend by waiting for the 
intervention of a funeral company funeral till Monday.

The inhabitants were not able to be contacted. A photo published by a newspaper 
shows a woman brandishing a bone of hip and a piece of skull there, in front of 
a heap of earth and the gaping hole in the wall.
