Yep, widely respected and loved.
Although I have seen him take a "bribe" during the annual charity match of
Australia vs "The Rest of the World". The bowler appealed for LBW, Dicky looked
at the batsman who produced $500 from his pocket and gave it to Dicky, there
upon Dicky turned to the bowler and shook his head.
These guys were wired up for audio and the censor had to "hit the button" real
quick but we caught the words "grafting bast***".
All in a good cause and the charity garnered a further $500.
Paul, I must tape the next charity match for you. You will enjoy it immensely.
Fun day.
Alas, unless you have a Pal-TV system I can't help, I can play NTSC but not
record in that mode.

True, but remember a time back when they threatened to "execute" the entire
Pakistan team because of its loss. Would that not include the Pakky umpire?

Certainly...
BTW your team won the toss and elected to bowl. Currently we're 0/39 - I won't
watch anymore, like shooting fish in a barrel <G> We might declare at 0 / 600.
You'll be out at say 125 and have the follow on, then all out again for 119.
Get your sob beer out, no it's whisky this time.
