And how about Walter Ashe and WRL? If you got your novice ticket around the
time I did (1959), about half the QSL cards you got from your contacts with
other novices were printed by either Walter Ashe or WRL. Some guys got the
sample QSL from WRL even before they got their licenses from the FCC.  The
first QSLs I sent out were those sappy Boys' Life Radio Club cards that
showed a boy scout in full uniform dripping with badges operating a ham
station.
